Pinwheel 12,

Tried to email you, but it's saying your address is wrong.

Anyways, I appologize if you thought I was disrespectful. As you can see, I feel very passionate about the solos, and even though some say they are "evolving", the 2nd best target bow I ever owned(bought in 2/94) was the original Standard, 2nd only to the Rival Pro. As far as I'm concerned, the shootability was the same, only about 12fps slower.

Someone I go to most of my shoots with has never missed an IBO-even the one in MI at the Livingston archery club. You would probably know him, but he won the Worlds last year in the Senior Open. Obviously, I know some of the "long-timers", can shoot, but I really believe that the level of accuracey and shooting discipline has been raised dramitically. The 369, or whatever it was, I shot in Velsonville in 95 to come in 8th out of 70 pros, would be a little low now days.

I do appreciate your comments, it is archers with passion that keep this sport alive.

Jeff...U.P. of Michigan

Jeff-

Thank-you for your comments as well, I enjoy healthy debates.(as long as there are no personal attacks) Yes, I did feel slighted with a few of your comments on one of the posts and responded to it a little heated myself, but after reading more of your posts felt I may have mis-interpreted some of them, therefore dismissed those that "hurt", and looked at the overall debate as just that.

Passion for the sport is what drives you and I and this is good, (means we truly love the sport) tho unfortunately in this particular case we happen to be standing on opposite sides of the fence. Hopefully that fence can be eliminated as time goes on, and you and I can shake hands at a tournament or hunting lodge sometime and discuss simpler things over a soda or burger. I would truly enjoy that. THAT is what this sport is really all about, doesn't matter what we shoot, as long as we're having fun (and looking good!) doing it. Good shooting, Pinwheel 12

PS-I changed my e-mail recently, and must've forgot to update my profile, sorry about that.

Yeah, Pinwheel.

That's the worst part of ordering a Merlin from you. I would no longer be standing on the other side of the fence telling you I shoot the better bow. I don't know if I could deal with that. LOL.

Sag, ol buddy, I wouldn't have it any other way with you! Of course,if you DID shoot the Merlin,(and I know you're drooling over the Supernova like everyone else) I would have just one more person on "this side of the fence", and it would make my life a whole lot easier! HAHAHA. Good shooting, my friend! Pinwheel 12
