Curiosity? Peer Pressure?
I'm really not sure why I am doing this, but I think it is just that curiosity got the best of me. That, and so many of you are trying out new bows right now. Top it off with Frank's rationale that you can sell most bows from the 3 hottest sellers if you don't like what you bought.
I'm too old to appreciate in-your-face advertising, so I don't like to stop at McDonald's, considering merely an outlet for cheap Chinese made toys, with a sideline of barely edible food (IMO only of course!). I thought I would never buy Nike shoes either, but I just got a pair because there was a great sale, and they felt good to my sore feet. So now what am I to do about a bow? Oh, I feel dirty even to say it! I am about to buy a barely used Q2 XL. Yes, a MMMMMMMMM
I just can't say it just yet. I guess I just had to find out for myself what it is all about. The guys who love them make them sound so magical and all. I really like the bow I already have, and the new one will have to outshoot the Darton in order for me to keep it, but I am ready to play too. Sorry, Jeff B., I know it ain't nothin' fancy like a Patriot or anythin', but it's as far as I'm gonna stick my neck out right now!
If any of you have any special set-up tips, I would appreciate it. Thanks

RE: Curiosity? Peer Pressure?
Hmmmm, this is interesting I just shot a darton today and I kinda felt like I was cheating on my Q2. but I have to admit I think I liked it. might have to buy one for a back up. As far as set up tips watch the cam when at full draw, you might have to twist the string a little to true up the cam. set up the rest so that you are about 13/16 up off the shelf and start with a 1/8in high nock point, and tune from there.

JOE PA I am cracking up...I shoot a number of bows that include a Darton (Maverick) and Q2XL. I feel dirty (too) for saying this but I think you will like the Q2XL. And if you don't you still have to tell us about it you know!!!
Shoot nothing but the Q2XL for a week and then pick up your Darton or something else and see what happens.
