WOW! , I feel as though I farted and then left the room! LOL. You guys are right.. to each his own, if I was a little harsh in my wording it was because I was a little disapointed that's all. All shooters have their priorities, for some it is speed, and for some it is smoothness, and stil for others it is quietness. I have been shooting Mathews for about 5 years and love them , but I would never tell someone that they are the best because I don't know what the best would be for any particulair individual. Just like everyone else I am always looking for something new, or something better, the "perfect" bow so I will continue to shoot all of them in my quest. I will try other Bowtech bows in the future, I just did not like that one.

Jeeez! Somebody, light a match!
Come on over here and shoot my 72" oak selfbow a few times. I guarantee you, it will make that BowTech feel like a kitten in comparison. I shot a Q2XL when they first hit the market and I can see how you would think ANY other bow was a vibrating, shocky piece of junk after shooting one for a while.
The speed thing, I don't know about. You sure you didn't creep just before releasing? That can knock fps off an arrow pretty quick.
I drew a Pro38 a couple times last fall (didn't shoot it), and 'smooth' is not the word I would choose to describe it's draw cycle. I like a more rounded force draw curve. Easier to draw, easier to shoot. Not as speedy, but then it's not as critical to tune and shoot either.
