Part of your problem is that you are shooting at a deer target. You are learning where to aim on an animal, but not learning enough about how to properly shoot a bow and getting consistent shooting form. For that you need bullseye targets. There is enough info out there about learning shooting form. It's a matter of learning some basics and applying them till you get consistent (doing the same thing every time).
The problem with using a 3D target is that you are using a "kill zone" as your aiming point instead of a "spot". You need to cut down your aiming spot to about 3" diameter, maximum. And shoot no more than 25 yards till you can keep almost all your arrows in that spot. You have to learn, also, to put your brain in gear when working on form. Shooting a bow is about 10% physical and 90% mental. Learn to shoot the bow. Let the bow shoot the arrow. After coming to full draw the only thing in your mind should be "Aim the Bow".
