I was told at the pro shop while trying the SQ2 that the main problem with shooting a short bow with a 29+ draw length is that the peep sight gets too far away, and when you get in certain hunting situations, it could hinder your focus on the animal, sight pin or surroundings while aiming.
I think that could easily be resolved by using a larger peep sight, rather than a small one, but just curious what your thoughts are on this.

I shoot a 30.5" A-A bow at 29" draw. I drilled my peep out to about 3/16" and have no problem at all. In fact I like the way it frames my pin guard nicely and makes for another alignment aid.

I say try it. The pro shops explanation makes sense. But, I cant see where it would be that significant.
Arctic, if you have problems with a standard peep, I would highly recommend the C-peep. I really think its an excellent product.
I didnt like it at first, mostly becouse of the tube. But, if you shoot a release loop, you can eliminate the tube, and cut the post off the peep. I did, and it works great.

Bull-oney! Maybe if you are using a target peep with a tiny aperature, but not with a hunting peep.
My bow is 32" ATA at 29" and I have used both a Shurz-A-Peep (the kind that divides the string into three strands and uses no tubing) and a 3/16" Fletcher Tru-Peep style. Both work well without obscuring the sight picture. Besides, aren't you supposed to be able to shoot with both eyes open to get the best view of your target? <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
The 3/16" sight I use now (with a T.R.U. Speed Nok Peep Aligner) makes a huge, ghost ring type circle.

It is basic geometry that your peep will be further away from your eye it you keep your standard form. How well you can see your sight through it depends upon your eyesight and the size of the peep verses the size of the sight and the distance between the these two.
The other problem with this situation is that standard form and anchor may have to be altered. This depends on the archer and how comfortable he/she is with their present form. It is many times too uncomfortable for longer draw archers with short ATA bows.
The other problematic issue is that there is more possibility to cant the bow.

I know Frank was shooting a real short one with a 31" draw and was very happy with it. I guess it's all in the feel for the certain person. I tried out the SQ2 and that was the one warning the pro shop guy gave to me. I had shot a 30" PSE with a target size peep that was really small and had a difficult time seeing through that clearly, but with a larger peep I don't think I would of had a problem.
Thanks for the info guys, just looking at getting some feedback on his statement.
