RE: Frank's Bowhunting Bow Report
Frank,
Sorry, the Legacy only goes to 30".
Us 31" draw guys don't have a chance!
How much are you willing to spend on a bow, if you don't mind saying
?

Great report!
I think your next bow should be a Legacy. It seems like it might be nearly everything the Pro 38 isn't, with none of the anoying speed. But seriously, it is something newish in a cam, and in sound suppresion. At your draw length (assuming it is available in 31" you ought to be able get 305-10.
There is a pattern establishing itself with BT bow reports - Complaints about the finish. They aren't all the same complaint. Nonetheless flaking paint seems to have come up before.

PA great report and honest to boot. When are you going to try the Darton Mag 33? Or did you already try this one and I missed it. Should be right up your alley. Well I am just a Darton fan and would like to see your EXPERT advise and opinion on it.

Sag.,
Darn! ............I don't have a definite figure yet in terms of a max spending limit. It will be directly affected by how much I get for the Pro38. I have some other archery accessories that I am going to get rid of as well...so that will factor into it. I doubt I would have the money to buy one of those expensive bows...like the one that you shoot...
Ossage,
Which one is the Legacy...the one with the perfectly round perimeter weighted wheel/cam?
I thought the finish on the Pro38 was extremely good in terms of overall definition and pattern integrity.
445,
No, I haven't actually tried a Mag 33 yet. I have been eyein' it up since Darton introduced it last year and I could probably comfortably shoot a 30.5 inch draw length...we will see...

RE: Frank's Bowhunting Bow Report
Great report Frank. I tried like heck to buy a bowtech when I was looking for my first hunting bow. Your discussion of the way the bowtech pulls reminds me that I am still trying to recover from creeping out of the valley on the Tec29 - my shoulder can now predict the weather <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
I just had to mention my favorite hunting bow - Parker. I noticed that the Ultra-lite Pro and UL35 both come in draw lengths up to 32" with a brace height of 7" or more. I also saw the new HunterMag - long draw length 7" brace and 300fps speed for a really good price. Weight on all of them is about 3 and a half pounds.

Oops! I have almost a 100% success rate on this board at mixing up the new Mathews bows by name. Personaly I think the names got swaped at the factory. I ment to suggest the Icon, that has the concentric solo cam, and the 37" ATA.

I get it pattern integrity, meaning it is clear and well defined, but it falls off right? Goodness knows how old my feathermax is, and it looks just as bad as the day I bought it, no chips, but not much in the patern department at any time. Some of these new camos are so nice they almost stand out.

Black Frog,
Not suprised one bit to hear you're ordering a SuperNova.
I knew you were interested.
Robvos was at Vegas and saw one in person last week.
He thought it was awesome and wants one too. He owns a Max and a Bowman and from the way he described the SuperNova, it got me somewhat fired up to.
Rob said, it's really something to see in person and the pics Pinwheel sent us didn't do it justice.
I believe, you will love the bow.
Although I've been saving up for another custom recurve, I just might have to order one myself.
For my purposes, I would probably get the SuperNova with the Max2000 cams. Ben told Rob at Vegas that you could order one that way.
Are you going to get one of the first 25-50 Nova's ?
What color was you thinking of with the black-fade ?
I like red with a black fade so, I guess, that's what I would go with.
Maybe you can do a bow report on the SuperNova when yours arrives.
