Great report Frank. Are you now a fan of longer ATA bows? I'd like to hear a comparison from you on the Mathews Q2XL and the Pro 38. I thought I had heard that the SL2 cams are now available in 31", but I can't remember where I had heard that. You won't get the speed out of the Mathews that you are getting from the BT though, so if speed is what cranks your chrom, then it sounds like the BT is for you.
Do you plan on forwarding a review of your post to Bow Tech? They might really appreciate seeing it, and take in consideration on your views since they were so elequently stated.

Good Shooting!

So that's why that buzz on my HCA (which I absolutely couldn't find) mysteriously disappeared after I removed the Shurz-A-Peep in favor of the Hind Site. Ha! Thanks!

Thanks for the replies guys. I am glad to see you are all level-headed gents.

But I bet Matt hasn't seen it yet...

Arthur,

The thought did cross my mind but I if I start cut'n and shap'n then the bow will lose its value when I go to resell it...and I always resell them...

Zippernut,

Thank you for the suggestion. I will give it a try.

ak,

Good point. Keeping an open mind isn't an easy thing to do...especially when you have certain preferences....

Big Country,

I have 6 days until the auction ends to change my mind...but considering how much I like to experiment with new bows........it is yours if you want it...

Moonge,

Thank you for the compliment. Now when are you going to talk about something other than Mathews?

ABM,

NEVER! NEVER I say! Never! No, I have not changed. In fact, getting this bow just made me appreciate a short bow so much more...

Bull,

Good luck with the Patriot. I know the feeling that you mentioned...but sometimes the journey is more fun than the destination...

aghh Frank what fun would that be to talk about something other than mathews! Actually I shot Pearsons for a long time & then I shot Hoyt for about 5 years & the last 3 have been mostly shooting Mathews. Really I like a lot of bows out there & bowtech has been a company I have been watching, we have no dealers close so that kills it for me at this time.

I tell you one bow I think is one to watch this yearis the PSE nitro, it was a nice bow when I checked it out!

Anyway I'll give you guys a nice report on my Mathews Q2Xl when I get it this week or next!

Ah, well now we finally have it! Will probably still be picking up a Pat this week or next, just to take the "journey". If, for some strange reason, it doesn't work out, I don't figure a Pat would be too hard to sell ... and then on to the next road, right Frank? Seriously, thanks for the well-stated report and to your points made - I can relate.

Frank,
I think you will fall in love with the CyberTec if you give it a go. You probably already have, (I don' know). I will say that it honestly is an excellent choice for those torn between the long and short ATA decision. Don't be worried about the 6 1/2" brace height either. The bow shoots like a dream. I would like to see you (Frank) or Jeff do a report on the CyberTec more that any other bow!

Nice bow report Frank. It reminded me Of a Dean Koontz novel with a surprise ending.
You may be the only one here that could put such a positive spin on a bow report, working us into a near orgasmic frenzy with the inarguable high points of the bow, only to leave us in the end with the conclusion that it just isn't the bow for you.
(Not to mention getting away with it without any death threats! )

I hope you give the Patriot a go and give us your thoughts about how it stacks up to your personal criteria.

By the way interesting observation on the Winner Choice string. That one got by me.

Razor,

Send me your credit card and out I'll go to pick up a CyberTec

I almost bought a Cyber..but the brace is too low for my tastes..Shoots VERY nice..It and the Patriot feel very similar at the shot..If I was to buy another Hoyt it would be the Ultra...

After my Patriot report I don't think I'll be doing many if any reports any time soon..As long as something doesn't go drastically wrong with it, I don't feel the need to buy anything else...even another BT. That is unless I win the lotto..and then I'll do all kinds of reports

Frank and Matt, and the rest of you will have to continue on w/ the Bow Reports in my stead...
