I've been using a Winns Free Flight for better than 10 years (the same one), and have never had a problem.
I'm sure the recommendations will all depend on what style you prefer.

Thats not good!!!![:@][:@][:@]

It may just need adjusting if it is a decent release. If you don't know how to adjust it, contact the manufacturere.

But, if you are looking a new one, my vote would go to TruBall.

What type of release are you using? do you use a string loop? I use a Winn Free Flight and never have had a problem.

I had much the same problem with my Tru-Ball caliper release. I switched to a Fletch-Hunter Shorty and have had absolutely no problems. I totally forgot about getting whacked in the mouth. I use a string loop and have done so for a long time now.

I've tried several and my current favorite is the Tru ball short-n-sweet pro.

I have a Scott..........something anyway. I dont remember exactly what it is. My dad has the same one and we both like them a lot. Very sensetive release but doesnt let go on its own.
