The target I'm thinking about making will me made with that vinyl siding underlayment (sp)? The stuff looks like the same material that the Block target is made out of. You can find it at the large lumber yards like Home Depot. The material is folded and it would be easy to cut into uniform width pieces (where it's folded) Then just put a plywood bottom and top on and compress with bolts or band it tight,, like the Block target.

Walks,
There is a company making a target very similar to what you describe. The material looks very much like the construction material you're referring to. They control pentration with the tightness of the bolts compressing it. Every so often, they recommend taking it apart and moving shot-out areas, to different sections. Sounds like it would last for years.
