RE: NAP Quick Tune 4000
I ahd the 2000 until a few weeks ago. Changed the cord out right away as Mike mentioned. The cable slide was a waste too...I served it to the cables. Worked well for about 8 weeks and the pin that keeps the launchers in the proper position either broke or fell out. Smack in the middle of a shoot of course and in 10 minutes it replaced with the TKO, 5 shots and (X)

I used one for about 2 years and loved it. Never had a bit of trouble with mine. I liked the steel cord they use to pull up the prongs. Seems like a better connection than serving string into the cable IMO.
As for the mentioned pin breaking, that is a result of improper setup due to NAP neglecting to inform people of this. I contacted NAP about a setup issue and they told me that you need to have the prongs hit the shelf just before it reaches its internal stop. The constant pounding of the internal stop is what breaks that pin.

Archer18,
I think you made a good choice getting the Trophy Taker. I found an article on that rest in a magazine and thought I'd post some pictures and an exerpt on how to make it quite as well. All these dropaways make some noise but the following procedure is sure to make the TT rest quieter. Although it sure looks like the fleece here would catch some fletching. At least it'll give you some ideas to use if you have any noise....
