Welcome to the board! I have yet to even see an Ovation, but have read of plenty of others that really like theirs. A buudy of mine asked for the Ovation and the pro shop I think is dragging their feet on this one. It's been a month and they said mathews told him they could not even give them a date it would be shipped. Good luck!!

Pa-Jay,
I just bought one. I have a conquest II and Hoyt Protec with spiral cams and there is no comparison between the 3 bows. The Ovation is realy smooth, virtually no recoil. The other 2 bows are faster but the feel of the Ovation makes up for the loss in speed. My Pro shop is still waiting for more to come in and have been waiting for several weeks. The dealer ordered my Ovation at the ATA show purposely for my draw length.
Good Luck with it.

I bought one last week and LOVE it. Was out shooting at 45 yards the
other day with 55/75 Goldtips and could not believe my groups. I was
averaging 2 1/2 inch groups and actually shot two groups where all three
arrows were touching each other. Now I have to refletch some arrows
but don't mind a bit. The bow is smooth to draw, easy to hold on
target, and very accurate. Best thing I have done in years buying one.

The Ovation is Awesome, Got mine two days ago after waiting 8 weeks, I was getting rather annoyed at the wait, but it was worth it in the end.
Mine is shooting 280fps 56.5# @ 28.5 inches with a 281gr ACE, works out a fraction under 5 grains per pound. Groups really well and draws & aims like a dream.
I like it so much I've ordered a 70# one specifically for 3D and should get mid 280's with CXL's
If your not a spead freak, you'll love the Big O, the shootability will outweigh any lack of speed.
