RE: 2004 Patriot Dually Red and Black
Antler Eater, I chronoed the bow with a 453 grain 2314 X7 and it did 286 fps, exactly what my'03 Pat Dually camo hunting bow did out of the box with a 457.4 grain carbon arrow. The '03 was set at 71.4 pounds and the '04 target was 70.2, both bows draw lengths at approx 29 inches are almost identical with the advantage going to the '03 by less than 1/4 inch (longer).
The difference is more notable in the draw cycle with the '04 being smoother, but with a very slightly shorter valley. The shorter valley should be noted that the '04 has not been timed to my liking yet but is pretty close. I've come to find that if the Duallys are timed very well, you'll feel the longest valley obtainable, anything less will give you less valley.
It's a very nice bow that actually WOULD be a better hunter than my '03 due to the better draw cycle. I'd really like to see a set of "smoothie" modules available to fit the Dually cams for those who would like a softer draw cycle Get one today!!!!
