Bowtech's birth certificate/speed rating
My local Bowtech dealer finally got a 30"/70# Patriot in the other day. I went to see/shoot it and on the birth certificate for this particular bow, it said 320 fps @ 71.5# draw weight. That actually puts them 1.5# over the 5 Grains per pound to meet IBO speed ratings. Is this typical? Since the bow is advertised to shoot 320-328 @ IBO ratings, this seems to be a little misleading to me. How do they ever expect to get 328 fps @ 70# if they are not getting the low end of their advertised rating except with 1.5# more draw weight?

Well, since that's the case, it looks like that particular bow IBO'd at ~324 fps. Right in the middle of what is advertised.
