IBO ratings are BS for a hunting rig IMO. Once you start putting on knocks, peep, etc that rating will drop considerably. Also, I think it contributes to people shooting draw lengths much longer than what is correct and trying to pull more weight than is needed. By the end of day, if you can get your hunting rig in 280's, IMO, that is EXTREMELY fast. Of course this coming from a guy who just lobs those arrows out there at 250fps.

320fps with the hush kit is blazing and would be a ball on the 3D course.

Yeah, but since i'm blessed with a long draw length, I want to get 300 fps with my hunting rig. Plus even though you only need about 45# KE to go through a deer, I want as much as possible for those not so perfect shots. I also shoot large mechanical heads so I want as much KE as I can get. By my estimates, I should be able to push a 400 grain ACC at about 301 fps resulting 80# of KE. If I was looking for purely speed, I would have bought the Black Knight. The same setup would have yielded about 321 fps and 92# of KE.
