TR Drop Zone
I'm going to get a new rest and I can't decided between a shakey hunter and a drop zone. If anyone can enlighten me as to how exactly the drop zone works. I would be grateful. If anyone shoots with one i would enjoy your opinion. thanks

RE: TR Drop Zone
I switched from a shakey hunter to the Drop Zone a few months ago. While the TT is a solid piece of equipment, it was a little too noisy for my likings. And I didn't feel like messing with all of the mole skin, etc.
The Drop Zone uses a cord that ties into the down bus cable. At full draw, it vertically lifts the rest into position. Upon release, a spring pushes it down out of the way. One word explains this rest: Awesome. It has worked flawlessly me and it is totally silent. I'm sure that is not the best description, so check it out here:

RE: TR Drop Zone
The DZ really is an awesome rest. I have had nothing but excellent results while using this rest on several different set-ups over the last year. A very good choice for serious shooting.

RE: TR Drop Zone
"Have any of you paper "tested" the DZ"......... are you kidding??? YES, as with ANY rest, that's gonna be about the first thing I do. The DZ is as quick and easy to set-up as any rest you'll find. Set the initial ceneter tune on the bow and she's ready for the paper. I have set-up many DZ's for myself and many others and they tune as quick if not quicker then anything else you will ever find. In the majority of instances we've had the DZ's shootin' bulletholes in 3 shots or less!!! It really is a great set-up. There shouldn't be much doubt after reading the many reports on the DZ. This rest has certainly proven itself over the last year.
