he shot them through a crony,and was geting 255fps with feathers,and 29inch draw and55#.Took the SAME arrow and striped off feathers and put on the plastic things and got 268fps,SAME ARROW!!!.
If he was shooting 5" vanes, I could agree with an fps or few, but 13 fps over lighter feathers? What mystical aerodynamic properties are at work here? If there's a logical explanation, I'm all for hearing it...

Walks with a gimp, don't be too hasty there, fella. There's already a deal that shoots an arrow that's 6-8" long (more of a dart than an arrow, IMO) that has blades for fletching. It's a long, tubular arrow rest with a built in release that shoots the thing. Called Arrowtrack or something like that. I tried to find a pic of it, but either they've gone under or the name I remember isn't correct.
