ps.they only work with a fallaway rest.

I'm having a hard time coming up with how this might be possible. Says on their site these things weigh more than feathers, but less than 5" vanes.

If he was shooting 5" vanes, I could agree with an fps or few, but 13 fps over lighter feathers? What mystical aerodynamic properties are at work here?

If there's a logical explanation, I'm all for hearing it...

Walks with a gimp, don't be too hasty there, fella. There's already a deal that shoots an arrow that's 6-8" long (more of a dart than an arrow, IMO) that has blades for fletching. It's a long, tubular arrow rest with a built in release that shoots the thing. Called Arrowtrack or something like that. I tried to find a pic of it, but either they've gone under or the name I remember isn't correct.
