RE: Liberty...chrono speed??
Jason,
You have me pegged. No, I did not chrono it....I was at a 3D shoot yesterday morning and then was at a SuperBowl party the rest of the day. I apologize. However, I will probably get a chance tomorrow afternoon or Wednesday, if the weather permits.
Private message me or drop me an email on either day and I will let you know what happened.

Yeh, Frank's always busy. Or maybe he's just plumtuckered out after shooting those 30 arrows. Oh, HI Frank.
What did you do between the shoot and the party?

RE: Liberty...chrono speed??
Well guys, this evening I finally got to shoot it through a chrono that wasn't bugging out
With a 405 grain arrow, I was getting between 280-282 f.p.s.
With a 430 grain arrow, I was getting between 274-275 f.p.s.
The 405 grain arrow translates into around 70-71 ft-lbs of KE
The 430 grain arrow translates into around 71-72 ft-lbs of KE
The 405 grain arrow gives me 0.5045889864325619 lbs-sec of momentum.
The 430 grain arrow gives me 0.5242972421743371 lbs-sec of momentum.
So, there it is, sounds a little better than before. My pro-shops chrono was only around 6 to 8 f.p.s. off, but they don't stress speed their and they tried to fix it as best as they could without putting too much money in it. The chrono I shot through tonight was right. My friend has his 2003 Patriot SC set at exact IBO standards and he was getting between 1-2 f.p.s differance than what is advertised.

Nice speeds there.
I wonder how I can check my chrony?
If anything I bet it reads high, so I'll leave it alone
So, IYHO- which is the better arrow to hunt deer/hogs with?
I'm in the same boat/ same speeds & weights and wondering which way is best or if it's splitting hairs.

What did you do between the shoot and the party?
If you really want to know, I was out putting up my stealth cam right after the shoot and the party started at 3 pm soooo..... I watched the game till there were 3 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter....what a boring game.....
BM,
Good numbers and right around what I would have expected to see from the bow with your setup. Those other speeds you posted seemed just a tad slow. 70+ ft. lbs of KE with that smooth of a draw definitely has to say something about the efficiency of that design!
Good deal.
