Pa Hardwoods, my rest has the short bar. When in the down position, its basically flat on the riser. I moved it up ever so slightly from before and also pushed the rest ahead a hair this time to get it farther from the string. its almost completely flat on the riser, just slightly angled up. If you look at my bow from the side, you can't see the prongs because of the shelf.

I'm not really worried about the strength of the rope, I'm just worried about the knots I tied. I don't trust myself!
