adjustable sight
Currently, I am shooting crosshair style sights on my Riptide. In trying to make myself think a little b- 4 the shot, and for other reasons, I would like to try a single pin adjustable sight. But, are they callibrated correctly, and do they really work? I mean, if you set it for say 40 yards, will it be accurate?

RE: adjustable sight
You have to sight it in. Its adjustable and you make a mark at each distance you want. I did once see one that you printed out on the computer but I have no idea how accurate it was according to arrow speed, weight and various other factors.
Good Luck!

RE: adjustable sight
I prefer the moveable/adjustable one pin sights over fixed multiple pin sights. 1) because I like the simplicity of 1 pin and 2 I only shoot to 30yds, so I zero it at 20 yds, and if I need to take a shot at 30, I just ease it up a bit and let it fly.
To answer your question, Cloud nailed it, the sights usually come with a sticker and that you mark your yardages at, 20, 30, 40 and you move the sight to the appropriate setting, its very fast and easy and just as accurate as a fixed sight.
