Default Why doesn't Muzzy...

...or other drop away rest manufacturers add a complete loop or oval above their rest prongs or whatever in order to provide full shaft containment?

Vital Bow Gear Does. The holder drops away about 2-3 inches in the the draw cycle. You can turn the bow up side down while it is on the rest in the undrawn position. I love mine. Quiet and the arrow does not fall off. Great for stalking.

Cause for hunting, I think containment rests offer the greatest advantage. It's the main feature people love about the WB (not the network), and the inherent nature of a rest "dropping away" would seem to allow a manufacturer to design some sort of containment feature, similar to the QAD ultra-rest.

A loop or oval guard could be made tall enough to still provide clearance once the rest drops, but keep the arrow on or at least help guide it back to the prongs, etc. in the event some unforseen incident dislodges it.

Imagine the hook arm of the ZE with the hook completed but made tall enough so the arrow still clears when it drops...
