RE: BowTech Liberty vs. Champion Diablo...funny!!!
Phil,
Please re-read it. The bow with the greater speed or KE was not given credit. The chart you copied shows the relation of actual speed to manufacturer's stated speed. The way that works, the slower bow could easily win the category. It just had to meet it's IBO speed. The test is not giving credit for speed. It 's giving credit for manufacturers telling the truth. In fact, Bowtech won this category (by a hair) and was given one point. Bowtech had the slower bow with the lower KE in this comparison, yet received a point in the category that even mentioned speed, so no points were awarded for having more speed or more KE. In this test, Bowtech also won the "quiet" category (by a hair) and was awarded a point. The difference was absolutly minute, yet they got a point. The bows were virtually identical, yet a point goes to Bowtech in a category that certainly won't make a difference in the success with a bow. This type of descrepancy is just one of the things I see as unfair about this comparison.
By the way, if I happen to hit my quarry in the shoulder, I'll take that extra KE - every time. And yes, it can make a difference.

Straightarrow, ok, I see your point on the speed. But as I said, either bow will get the job done quite easily. You get a Diablo, I'll get a Liberty, and we'll both get pass throughs.

Anyway, neither the Diablo or the Liberty is on my short list. I have something better in mind. Something more suited towards my preferences.
