This doesn' t make any sense to me
Is this normal. Using the same pin aiming the same spot from 0-25 yards my arrows hit around the bulls eye in a area a little smaller than a volley ball. I shot and shot and shot and shot all day until my shoulder is sore, pulling back 80 pounds all day isn' t too fun. If this is norm. then why do ppl use 3,5,6 and maybe more pins?? This is great.

I use a pin at 20 and 30 because I want better accuracy than the size of a volleyball, although one could just aim low and high. I have never heard of someone using more that 3 pins. That isn' t needed.
Shooting such a high poundage will get you flat trajectory.

Up to 25 yards, you should be shooting groups the size of lemons. Not saying volleyball-size groups are ' bad' , just that you' ve got room for improvement. Keep shooting and practicing!
When you start getting those lemon size groups, you' ll see why the extra pins are popular.

Joe? Nice to see you in the tech forum.[:-] From 0-25 yards, you need to try and get to tennis ball size groups. For starters, I think you should back off the poundage to 70 for a bit. If your expieriencing some pain at 80 after shooting a while, your developing some bad habits. Back it down for now. I shoot 5 pins. 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60. That doesn' t mean I will shoot a deer at those ranges. I mostly practice at all of those yardages. I use them more for range estimation on deer than anything else.
