Default Arrow length.

Greetings,
I shoot a GoldenEagle 70#, 30" draw
I' m in need of some Arrows. I' m also new to the whole
Archery thing, as well as to this forum. I' ve spent a lot of
time reading your great forum, but I' ve seen nothing on how
you choose Arrow length. Any help would be great.....

Thanks,
RFields

Hi RFields, welcome to the board!

Well, the only way that I know would is to draw back a long arrow and mark where the arrow sits on the rest at full draw. Then add an inch onto that. Though I am not sure how accurate that is.

My local archery shop has an arrow that is marked like a ruler. They have the shooter draw back and then they take the reading. Then cut the arrows to the proper length.

Default RE: Arrow length.

Jeramyk,
Thanks for the information, I could go to the local
" Pro" shop, but I was looking into one of these killer
deals, from the likes of, Archery Experts, Bass- Pro, ect...
or maybe, one of the major Arrow Co' s, like Easton or Beman.
And not sure of the length, I should order for my draw length of
30" , I shoot an older bow a Golden Eagle 70# 30" draw, with a 65%
let off. It also has a TM Hunter style rest, as of right now I shoot fingers
but going to the Release, as soon as the funds prevail. I' d like a little heavier
Arrow for the K.E, but lighter one' s have a little more " zip" . I' d also be open for
suggestions on Broadheads, and weights, I know I' d like the fixed blades types.
I' m sure that' s more questions, then anyone' s willing to answer, but just thought
I' d " throw" it out there, to see what kind of feed back I can get. Thanks to all that
at least took the time to read my Rant.....

Do Right, and Fear NO one....
