x-ring stabalizers

x-ring stabalizers
I just got home from the eastern sportsman show. I picked up an x-ring silicone stabalizer for 15.00. Anyone ever use one? I have heard that the ones with gel and silicone seem to work well with single cam bows. This is the reason I bought it. Did I get jipped, or would this be a good stabalizer to try?
Also, If anyone has any insight as to what stabalizers work well with single cams, please inform me.
Thanks

RE: x-ring stabalizers
They make a nice stab. The 1" carbon ones filled with sand are very nice, though they are better if the sand is taken out and a doiker is adeed instead. The sand is inconsistant to a certain extent, and moves the CG back towards one's hand. Stabs are personal, so it will depend on how much you like it.

RE: x-ring stabalizers
A silicone filled carbon X-ring used to be my favorite stabilizer on my Mathews bows until I switched to a SVL Enhancer 2000. I didn't fully understand the term "bow jump" until I tried this stabilizer. It totally eliminates bow jump and delivers the most comfortable feeling shooting experience you'll ever have.
