The tomkat is a nice bow for the $ but if you are willing to shell out the extra bucks for a HavocTec or a Scepter III SE, then I would step up to a Blackhawk,Mighty Mite (especially the 2004 model) or several other of the short offerings BowTech offers. If you are looking for a tall brace (and I assume you are based on your selection of bows), the new MM VFT and Justice VFT will be right up your alley and in the price range of the Hoyt & Martin.
Make no mistake though the Tomkat is alot of bow for the $.

The first thing that popped into my head was " availability" . I think the Havoctec has been discontinued for 2004 and has been replaced with the Vipertec. As for the others...I have no experience with the Martin though I have shot both the G2 and the Blackhawk. Both are excellent short axle to axle length bows and I would have no problem recommending either.

I' ll take up your slack on the Martin part, Frank. ![Smile](https://www.huntingnet.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Martin' s Fuzion cam is harsh on the draw, puts out decent - but not outstanding - speed and is nowhere near as quiet as any other single cam I' ve ever owned or shot. I' d recommend going to the Fury dual cam if you go Martin.

Don' t allow us to choose your next bow. Go out and shoot them. It' s the only way you' ll ever know which one you prefer. I can guarantee there are experienced archers that will pick each one of those, and for various reasons. It always works best, if the shooter determines which bow matches his own unique desires, best.

I forgot to add the part on draw length.
Take your wingspan, subtract 15 and divide by 2. This will usually get a person within a 1/2" , and the exact length can normally be fine tuned with the cam posts and string twists on the bow.
