Want to do my own serving. What do I need?
I want to start doing my own serving and tying peeps and so forth. I have heard that Bjorn makes a good server. What are you guys using and what would you recommend.
Thanks

The serving tool I bought is made by Bohning. I believe it' s called the Serve-tite. I think it was around $15 or so. I didn' t care for the monofilament thread that came with it so I also bought some Bohning #62 braid. That was somewhere around $10, I believe. It works pretty well. I re-served my string a few months ago & everything still looks fine.

You don' t need a serving jig to do peep servings. Thats done by hand.
In order to serve cables & center serves you' ll need
1. A press to relax the string slightly (a string separator could be used)
2. A serving jig for the center serve and cables
3. 3 different diameter threads (can' t remember the #' s off hand)
4. A cable separtor is nice to hold the cables out of the way for a center serve
5. Scissors and a lighter to finish the tie
I also make a string loop from fastflight in order to pull the tag end through under the serve
