RE: Mathews shooters Please reply
hey
i have just bought a Mathews Lx like 3 days ago and i was having the same problem. well not really a problme but the annoyence of that " pop" sound. so we being lazy i put 1 thin layer of black electrical tape on the string where it hits the string suppressor. At first i thought it would affect my shot, but so far everthing is the same. No lose in arrow speed, and no arratic arrow flight. MAYBE THIS SUGGESTION MAY HELP SOME OF YOU.
dont put a long layer. the suppressor is only like an inch long so you should only make and inch to inch and half long tape mark.

Took a chain saw blade sharpener and filed a groove in the string suppressor so the suppressor doesn' t grab and stick to the string. So far so good. I' ve drawn on two mature does at point blank range (10 yards) and not a sound or pop. I also cleaned them good with baby wipes.

I also have an lx that makes a popping or clicking noise when I draw back but only after I shoot, I found that the string was comimg out of the roller on the cable gaurd, the cable gaurd was not machined correctly, it had a 1/8" space between the rollers & the back of the gaurd, put a new string & cable gaurd on & it works great. I never have had the string stick to the string suppresor, I also don' t
wax my string serving, Mathews needs to check there machining better.

I' ve been hearing the same " pop" with my LX but in addition, the serving that makes contact with the string suppressor is coming loose and one of my cables is making contact with the HP Cam. I' ve heard that the contact with the cam could be caused by an improper grip but I feel comfortable and I do not experience any other problems associated with bow torque. Any feedback on either of these two items would appreciated.
