Default Arrow length

I shoot a cybertec with

65lb
30 draw length with a biscuit
340 grain arrow and 100 grain tip

I bought some arrows today and my pro shop told me just because I have a 30 draw length does not mean I use a 30 inch arrow. So we measured and he said I should be using a 29 inch arrow with my 30 draw ? Does this sound right?

Default RE: Arrow length

Sounds right to me.

Typically your correct arrow length defined by the easton guide will be shorter than your draw length. This is partly because your arrow rest normally sits about 1" behind the place on the grip where your DL is measured from.

I have a 29" draw and shoot 28" arrows.
