RE: Best bow for the buck?
The MT is a sweet little bow. I think it is probably the most underrated hunting bow around. A killer value, lightweight, accurate. A guy took 2nd last year in the 1st flight at Vegas with an MT Sport! I don't know much about the Nova, but the MT shares many of the features of Hoyt's high end target line...

RE: Best bow for the buck?
I would agree with archineer (who I am glad to see is still around).
295 IBO speed
8.5 inch brace height
35.5 inch axle to axle length
3.75 lb mass weight
Versa single cam or dual Command Cams
Both are draw length adjustable without a bow press and the Versacam also allows you to adjust the valley of the draw cycle in accordance with the percentage of letoff.
Excellent "straight" TEC riser design.
...and considering the lack of a significant practical difference between a Hoyt cast magnesium riser and most machined risers....
Sold for $230 in my area last year.
Yes, I would definitely recommend the 2001 MTSport over any of the low priced PSE offerings....even the Thunderbolt which needs a much shorter brace height to achieve the same speeds.
Too bad Hoyt never put the XT2000 limbs on the MTSport.....
It would have all the advantages of the new dual track idler wheel and the Versacam along with the new Command Cams Plus, plus top quality limbs and extremely forgiving 8.5 inch brace height, a 33 inch axle to axle length, excellent TEC riser design, and a 300 fps IBO speed...........and sell it for around $275-$290....
.....they would have not been able to keep up with the demand for it, in my opinion.
