Scott Little Goose Tearing Up String Loop Quick

Does anyone else find that their Scott Little Goose release tears up a string loop really quick. I mean only a month or a month and a hlf of use. I have checked the release for burs and it is smooth. I don' t mind tying on a new one but I was just wondering if there was something I could put on the loop to make it last longer. I was thinking about maybe waxing it or trying some of that liquid they make to put on serving to make it last longer. Please let me know if anyone else has had these problems and what you do to rectify them.

The culprit is burrs, 99% of the time. Use a VERY fine sandpaper. Roll it and slide it through the jaws many times at different angles. It will remove the finish, but should solve the problem.

I' ve given it a good looking over Len but i' ll try the sandpaper Idea, other than that it is a great release and has helped me improve my form tremendously. Do you know if that liquid serving saver would help get more life out of the loop also?

I thought my Little Goose was wearing the loops on my bows pretty bad until I learned the trick. Work a little bowstring wax into the loop at least every other time you go out to shoot. The wax lubricates and protects the loop from wear, and keeps it stiff so it' s easy to hook up.
There could also be some tiny burrs on the jaw. If the wax doesn' t do the trick, you' ll have to do like Len said and do some detail sanding.

Wasn' t my Little Goose, it was my Itty Bitty Goose. Cut through the serving at Nelsonville during the last 20 targets (shot the last 13 pushing serving back in place after each sot), [:' (]. I also tried sanding for burrs but will have to look closer. Thanks also for the tip on waxing the loop.
