RE: what is normal
Mitch ,
Read your other post also & I know this is not what you want to hear ......but , I have an MQ-1 that' s 5 years old. I shot it probably 20,000 +/- shots before giving it to my dad 2 years ago. He has probably got a thousand or so through it. He just had the string replaced but the cable is still in good shape.
A good friend of mine has a MQ-1 that is 6 years old and he just got his original cables and strings changed last week.
Sounds like you have a problem with your cam and it hasn' t been addressed yet. I have heard of some that just need a burr in the metal to be filed slightly. Based on your experiences, I wouldn' t blame you for changing bows or brands.......but I still think normally a MQ-1 is just about as good as they get !
