cable problem
i just installed a new teflon cable slide on a hoyt bow I have and have run into this situation I hope someone can help me with. The bus cable and the string are now touching each other where they cross over. They barely touch each other and I dont know if it really makes it a problem or potential problem or not but they never were touching before although there wasnt but a 1/8 or less gap between the two.
the bow has the original string and cable on it with the floating yoke system if that info might be relevant. I have tried using the different slots in the new slide , crossing the cable over the string in a different location.... everything I could think of but the touching is still there- Any ideas or advice????

RE: cable problem
Is it a Bomar slide? Those usually are great and I' ve used both the outside and inside the rod styles. You may want to try that too. Find one that' ll seperate your cables. It' s not so important with the old steel cables, but with the new buss cables, you' ll get alot of friction and have to wax them more than you should have to. Also, can you move your rod? Sometimes just moving it up or down (rotating) will do the trick and it usually doesn' t take much.
