Clear adhesive that doesn' t attack fiber optic?
Is there one you know of? I was told clear silicone so I found a liquid nail product that is supposed to be extremely clear. I assumed it would be the same. It " freezes" the fiber much like but not nearly as bad as Goattuff or superglue would and really kills its effectiveness. Other kinds will melt it.
So, anyone know anything that works?

Go here:
http://www.loctite.com
Although it can be expensive, Loc-Tite makes adhesives that do not " freeze." Also look in the " Electronic" category.

ijimmy- no I didn' t. I have a feeling it would do a big meltdown though. I assume you mean a 2 part epoxie.
nub- I' m trying to use a .019 fiber in a clear plastic pin body that is made for a larger fiber. I need something to secure the fiber so it won' t move, turn, or fall out. Using heat is going to be part of the process in order to do something with the extra fiber length other than cutting it off. I' ve found a hair dryer works great for shaping it how I want.
c903- Thanks. I' ll look into that. I assume you have dealt with this before?
Any other suggestions? Maybe a replacement pin that would work with a scope like this.....
Thanks for the help guys. I appreciate it.
