Kinetic Energy for this setup?

RE: Kinetic Energy for this setup?
You have plenty of ke but imo NOT for spitfires. They require much ke to achieve passthrus with.
You may be able to use a mechanical like the Steelhead from Rocket or some others but imo you need to stay away from Spitfires.

RE: Kinetic Energy for this setup?
Thanks BC,
Your Razor is smoking my Solo Patriot, and it shouldn' t
And my 29" module is at 29.75" , I have twisted and untwisted everything and just can' t get this thing to its specs. Performance is suffering it seems.
Back to bowtech it goes[:@]

No problem Rack. I love that little bow. I keep telling myself that it is way too short to shoot good, but if I took the scope off of my protec, I doubt I could shoot it any better. Even at long range. The little bugger is a tack driver.

Hey Rack Attack........sorry man, I gave you bad info. I hope you did not run out and sell your Bowtech yet!
I just got finished setting up a new RazorTec for a guy, same exact specs as mine, only his was right handed. After tuning it up, I put one of my hunting arrows through the chrono....274fps. I could not figure out why it was slower than mine. I mean it has the same base cam, same draw setting, even twisted it to the EXACT drawlength as mine. Same poundage too. After I triple checked it through the chrono with the same results I drug out my lefty RazorTec. Guess what...276fps?
I got 289fps with my bow using my old Beman field shafts that I used to hunt with.
Still good speed for the setup, but not what I posted previously. I weighed the arrow again to make sure I was giving the right numbers this time.
draw length=28.5"
draw weight=68#
arrow weight=413gr.
speed=276fps
Sorry for the bad info buddy![]

RE: Kinetic Energy for this setup?
hello everyone, since you were talking about ke and I am new to the tech. end of bows I thought I would throw my question into the ring. I am shooting a supertech with the spiral cam and a half set up. My draw length it 29" , the poundage is set right on 70lbs, the arrows weigh 349 grains if I did my math correctly and after I got everything set up and tuned at the pro shop it was sending them through the graph at 300 fps, now I shot a WB rest so I know I am losing a little there but not much. I was wondering what kind of ke I have and how do you figure it? also is there anything to do to fine tune it even more(except change the rest, call me crazy but I love the WB lol) I see you all talk about twisting the string and such..can you explain..email me if need be

Now those numbers make me feel a bit more adequate
My 29" Pat (29.625 - actual amo) is getting 279 from a 397 grn arrow.
I feel better now and thanks for all the grief
