I' ve done my sighting in with my G5' s on my hunting bow and all I can say is wow!! They fly like a dream I' ve shot them all the way out to 60 yds so far. They did not wobble at all and were consistent. I' m glad I changed from the steelforce broadhaeds that I was using last season.

RCD567, I' ve been too lazy to start applying the various techniques I' ve learned from these posts, but I will start tonight and let you know. Keep me informed about your tests, O.K.

Make sure if you are using a diamond sharpener that you break it in before using it. You can do this be rubbing a flat piece of steel over the surface for a while. If you do not do this the scratch will be very irregular and more coarse than specified by the manufacturer. The absolute best sharpener for getting a finished edge on the Montec is the fine bench stone made by Spyderco. They make an extra-fine but it is not necessary to get a hair-shaving edge.

I have one in the 125 grain version that I use for practice that has a couple of flat spots on two of the blades from banging them into other heads. Without removing a lot of the metal I won' t be able to bring this head back to it' s peak sharpness. I did run it over the stone the other day and it came out plenty sharp. It won' t shave paper as some have described above but I guarantee it would go through a whitetail like a hot knife through butter.

I wondered how it would fly so I took it out back. With a slight breeze I was able to hit a 3" spot at 60 yards three times in a row starting with the first time I pulled the bow back in the experiement. The fourth shot missed by two or three inches and the experiment was over.
