RE: Mathews LX or BowTech Patriot ???
tough choice, both are great bows. I think given the costs I would have to take the LX in your situation. I feel it is a little better bow for the money but the Pat is a little faster. Really you can' t go wrong with either but I feel that Mathews makes a very high quality bow and if you can get it for less then it' s a no brainer in my book.
As the others have mentioned be sure to try the Extreme VFT!

It' s sad that in the state of Indiana, we only have 13 Bowtech dealers. and mine is on vacation. The next closest is almost a 2hr drive. Now that my Saturday is shot with the honey do list, and chances are there is not a shop open on Sunday. I realy want to shoot the other two bows, but I' m afraid that the Mathews price may go up. Oh well, I guess like my kids say, whatever.

BM,
I do not know if I would go that far. If I just aimed that Havoc Redline in the general direction of the target then the arrows seemed to find the bullseye all by themselves.........though this Pat SC is pretty darn impressive in its own right. The redesigned Patriot single cam eccentric is more than I bargained for as they seem to have rounded out the draw force curve on it quite a bit.
