Helical with Wisker Biscuit?
Do any of you guys run helical fletching with your wisker biscuit? Just wondering if it' s worth trying out this summer for fixed BHs.
If you do please put in how many fletches and how long, your BH preference would be nice too.

RE: Helical with Wisker Biscuit?
When I shoot helical through my bisquit I seem to get a lot of rips on the edge of my bohning vanes. There is a slightly higher speed loss when forcing helical through the whiskers as opposed to straight fletch.
IMHO -The best bet would be to shoot a 2-4 degree off set arrow. this would provide a spin on the arrow and straight passsage through the whiskers.
Before I buy my next batch of vanes I have to do some searching to see what people say works best with the bisquit. I' m currently leaning towards duravanes.

RE: Helical with Wisker Biscuit?
I' ve just installed a Whisker Biscuit ( don' t you think " Hair Pie" would have been a better name???) on my bow. Even with straight fletching my AAE vanes are showing wear & rips & my feathered are wearing on the edges.
Cabelas catalog is showing a new vane from AAE called Speed Flyte Vanes that are actually recommended for the Wisker Biscuit.(supposedly less wear??) Unfortunately my local shop didn' t have any or I' d have tried ' em first. If anyone ever uses ' em, I' d sure like hearing about it.
