I think I am suddenly having a brain fart. Too many guys with BowTechs to remember which one is which.

When I first got my ' 02 Patriot, I bought a TT Shakey Hunter to put on it. I had trouble with the bow shooting low so I adjusted the rest to hold the arrow up longer before drop. This made about 6 inches difference in verticle point of impact. My theory was that the arrow point was dropping before the momentum could hold it' s own. Try getting about 4 inches of arrow travel before drop and see if it shoots higher, mine did.

Ok, I' ll try that. It would sure save me some $$$$
Aside from Viagra
Any suggestions on how to make it stay up longer?

Do I lower it on the down cable?

Right now it' s only coming up the last 1.5" or so.

Phil' s site name is PDQ5OH.
Bowtech_Shooter is Pat he is the guy who answers you tech questions when you email Bowtech.

I had a simular problem with my 02 Pat but I was able to lower the sight ring on the sight enough to get it to work.
They did send me the bracket but I never did put it on before I sold the bow so I sent it to PDQ.

BT has addressed the sight mounting holes and that problem no longer exists.

Send me a PM with your phone number and I will give you a call.

Really, I think that the sight mounting holes at issue in ' 02 were with the Patriot and Pro series risers. My wife' s Tec 29 which has the same riser as the Mighty Might, didn' t position the sight as high as my ' 02 Pat. I' d bet your problem is with the drop away rest duration. I took back the TT rest I tried and have since come up with a better solution

This is the very first time I' ve heard of anyone having troubles with a Mighty Mite riser.

WWAG is right, we had troubles with the first run of Pro risers and it was fixed on the second run.

It sounds to me like the rest set up is causing the troubles. If you' re having to set the rest up where you can see the bottom 3/4 of the berger holes it should probably be lowered, nock point and all.

FWIW, I lined up one of our sight lowering brackets on a Mighty Mite and I also found that it barely hits the cables guard mount. It looks to me that I can shave just a hair off of the bracket with a Dremel tool to make it work fine. LMK if you want one and I' ll fix one up and send it to you.

If you like, you can email me at [email protected] for any further assistance

Ausie-guy, OK.
Bowtec shooter- I can see only the lower quarter of the burger holes. Lowering it any more would seem to further drop the arrows below the same point of impact. I will e-mail you.

I would like to use the dremeled drop down bracket as a last resort as this adds a piece of the puzzle which shouldn' t be in there. It could be another place for a scew to come loose or make noise vibrating against the riser. And it drops my quicky quiver mount another inch. Which put' s my quivered arrows another inch in harms way.

How do I make the rest stay up longer? For all this hassle I may just end up putting my dust collecting Whisker bisquit quick shot deluxe back on. Although it also had the sight barely holding on to the gang adjustment slide.
I' m glad I bought my new bow as early as I did. At this pace I may end up having to hunt with my back-up bow. All tuned up and ready to go!!

Shoren your pull cord on your TT by a 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch to get more lift duration also try lowering your nock point 1/8 inch. This should gain you some vertical point of impact.

I fought the good fight but am ready to throw in the towel!![&o]

I' m thinking my main problem now is the Trophy taker shaky hunter set up. I shot it through the paper again and realized the nock point could be a little lower. Lowering it only induced vane fletching contact that would hit no matter which way I rotated the nock. If I lower my nock point to try and get the arrows flying flatter the vanes hit the rest. If I raise the nock to clear the vanes my arrows fly towards the ground at a sharper angle. erggg!!

I played with the cord and shortened it' s length. It felt as it it was pulling on my cable some. This didn' t seem to get me anywhere.

Now after two hours in the Texas heat mixed with gulfcoast humidity I am pooped. After a break I will TAKE OFF the TT and reinstall the WB to see if using it will allow the use of my current sight.

To add insult to injury I just ordered a dozen new bemans with R/H helical from the artesian arrow because I thought I was gonna use the TT. If I wind up using the WB I' m gonna need offset or straight fletching. I left a message with him to hold off if he hasn' t fletched yet, but I' m thinking he already did so. Does the pain ever go away??

PS- set up a friend (extreme solo) with a trophy ridge drop zone the other day. 5 shots through the paper and he was done. Perfect bullets, easy as pie!!

Hmmm, things that make you go Hmmmm!!

Thanks for all your help.

I' ll let you know what I find with the WB.

Dave, sorry I didn' t try to help earlier. I don' t use a pendulum sight, so had no good thoughts (maybe the pendulum makes no diff). I will recommend a NAP 4000 rest, if you still want to try a drop away. I have one on an 01 Mighty Mite. It works great. My Cosmic Lite sight is set right in the middle, with plenty of adjustment up & down. Deadly accurate & shoots broadheads fine, with helical.
Jeff, if you need a sight bracket for your P38, let me know. I have one & it will fit the pro riser fine. I don' t think Ausie will care if I pass it on to you.
BTW, good advice from WWAG.
