If I remember correctly it was either the cable attachment peg or one of the groove tracks that stops the cams. I have not had a spiral cam in my hands for several months so I cannot verify that at the moment.
To my knowledge it will not damage the bow in any way though, as always, you may want to contact Hoyt to see what they say. It is your bow and their warranty...
