I agree. My XF6 is the 08 model and did not come with a stop. I purchased a vibracheck stopper and it made such a huge difference. Im not one to be awed by many products, but it really did make a very noticeable difference. It made it go from twang to ........ Night and day difference on that bow...

Question Seems unanimous ...

All like string stops, and most seem to think they make a huge difference. I guess it must be the bow its on. I don't dislike string stoppers, but I really did not see that much of a difference. I used an original STS with a Darton Tundra. Dartons are known for vibration, and the STS did eliminate that. Noise? It changed an "ong" sound to a "whap." It seemed to me to be just as loud, but sharper. Since they came about when parallel limb bows became popular, I'd have to assume they do a good job with noise and vibe on a parallel limb bow. On the Darton, it made the bow no quieter, and on a Pearson, mine actually made the sound louder. As far as shooting consistency, that is still 98% shooter. Again, I don't dislike them, but I would not say they are needed. With cat whiskers on the string, a bow can be plenty quiet without a string stopper. JMHO
