I tried it too! Thanks alot Proff. I hate scraping forever on this Goattuff and still not having a clean shaft.

It worked great for me.

Do you leave the nock in or out? I did not know if the acetone would weaken the nock.

I didn' t see it until now.

I also didn' t see it soon enough as I have now learned that acetone is hard on nocks. Good thing I have plenty.

btomlin, I guess that I should have written that about the nock a little bigger!! LOL! You found out the hard way that the acetone is indeed bad for the nocks. That is why I really clean out the inside of the nock end of the shaft really good when I am done. just to be sure that moisture doesn' t get in there and reactivate the acetone and melt the inside of the nock. That would definitely ruin a shot on a bruiser!
