Default Another question for Trophy Taker users

I recently bought a trophy taker rest and love it I' m shooting really well with it. Just wanted to know if anyone has tried to get rid of the little bit of noise the rest makes during release(when the rest slaps back to its resting spot)just wanted some ideas. It is a great rest!!!

It depends on how you mounted it. Some people have it mounted so it does not stop(or land) on the riser' s shelf. In this instance I' m not sure. Most Trophy Taker set-ups I' ve seen use the bow' s shelf as the stop. Two things to do. First, moleskin your launcher. Your arrows are absolutley silent at draw. Second, you need to put a layer of self adhesive rubber(thin) and then the same moleskin you put on your launcher. This really quiets it down!

I use the short mount and mount it as far forward as I can on my Legacy. Trophy Taker recommends that it stop on the shelf and not the stop on the rest. I use a mini limbsaver where the forks meet to keep it from slamming against the shelf.

Cloud 9 has great advice. Use moleskin on your riser shelf. Mine is dead quiet.
