Arrow spine question?

RE: Arrow spine question?
Most arrow manufacturers will have spine charts on their websites that you can determine what spine you need for a specific set-up. Or you can find out what spine a shaft is by looking on these charts as well....

Do you mean finding the correct spine for you particular set up, or actually measuring the spine on a given arrow?

RE: Arrow spine question?
There are some good programs that can help you to determine correct spine. The charts that manufacturer's supply on only good as a general starting point. Especially if you do not have a 29" draw length. The charts typically use a 29" DL with a 100 gr tip. Some manufacturers sometimes list for 125 gr tip but as I said if your DL is shorter or longer it's still only a ballpark starting place.
www.pinwheelsoftware.com offers a trial software that you can use for a few tries to determine the spine for your bow. The program is called OnTarget2 and it's not bad. There are better programs out there that cost about twice as much but I've found the OT2 works fine for me.
If you supply all your bow and arrow info one of us can run it and show you a typical output page.
