yep that was it. it was last year and i was still shooting the junk factory string on an 04 ultra-tec. it shot totally different after that one hunt. i actually had my shop check it one time and it only had like 2 twists in it. it was shot bad. but oh well im shootin a BLOWTECH now so i dont expect to have any troubles! unless the limb tips come out!!! hopefully tomorrow my replacements will be in tomorrow. i shot a 30 target this weekend and now when it draws back it makes a creeking sound at one point. im not shooting it anymore lol!

Use Jig-A-Loo to protect all the exposed metal from time to time. It is a dry based film lube that you can find in the auto section of WalMart for about 5 bucks. Works great on axles, rests, etc. ALso one of the best crossbow rail lubes you can use. Works great on guns too.
