Sighting in a G5

Sighting in a G5
I know I've read about this here before but I can't seem to find the thread. A couple questions. Are the pins already set in the 10,20,30 yard incriments, or am I going to have to adjust each individual pin? And then is it right when, say I'm sighting in for 40 yards that I should be 4 yards away from the target (due to arching principal)? Or is that something that I misunderstood? If anyone has any tips on setting 1 of these up it would greatly be appreciated. This is my 1st sight change and I'm a little nervous.

You have to sight in each pin individually. Do you already have a sight on your bow? Here is a little tip. Measure from your stabilizer up to your 20 yard pin and remember this. When you put th new sight on your bow just set pin you intend to use for 20 yards at the same measurement. Due to possible differences in sights it probably won't be right on, but should be close enough to get you close for starters.
As for setting a 40 yard pin by shooting 4 yards? Can't say for sure. It depends on just how fast your bow is. I usually find that a 25 yard pin hit very close at 5 yards so maybe 5 yards correlates to 25 yards. I wouldn't rely too much on this type of stuff. Just sight it in as you normally would.
Don't be too nervous. This is one of the easier things in archery. Live and learn. Glad to see you're at least trying to do something for yourself.
