85 grain BHD's are ok to use for deer. Just a few things i would keep in mind. Make sure your arrows are spined properly for your bow. Also make sure that your arrow wieght is not too light for the bow poundage you are shooting. Use the IBO or bow manufacturers recommendations. IBO is usually a rule of thumb, 5 grains of arrow wieght per pound of bow wieght. ie...If your shooting 70 lbs your arrow should at least wiegh 350 grains. Personally I think this a lil light for a hunting setup but you sure dont want to risk blowing up your bow with too light of an arrow. Go for accuracy and dont get caught up in the speed game. Sometimes too much speed just makes ya miss faster. Hope this helps.....Jaw
