Diamond Rapture Problems again
Has anyone else heard of or had problems with this bow. I took off the module to add an extra half inch of draw and noticed that the module is bent and where it meets the string its got what looks to be a small size hole in it. Well I took itback to Sportsmans Warehouse and it took me 2 days to not have to pay for a new one because they wouldnt just exchange it. Now im starting to notice that this thing is very difficult to tune. I dont know im new to bowhunting so im going to continue to try and also take it to an archery place here in town but ive lost confindence in the Diamond and therefore bowtech name. Considering this is becoming numerous problems with a bow ive had for less than a yr and considering the extended winters here in alaska not alot of wear and tear on it.

I dont quite understand something.... is the original module bent, or the one you got from the store to lengthen the draw length?
and what other events are making "this thing very difficult to tune"? What sort of tuning are you trying to do?

You need to move the draw stop post to a longer draw setting when installing a longer draw length module. If you don't, there will be no let off. Maybe this is some of your problems?

The draw stop has been adjusted and is fine. And the new mdoule is fine its just the old one was bent. As far as the tuning problems i am just getting inconsistent tears and im still working it. Im just affraid i got a lemon.

Inconsistant tears in paper are usually the shooter. If it's the bow it will consistantly be off the same. You can't get a perfect tear in paper unless you execute a perfect shot (or get lucky). Remember that papertuning is just a guideline starting point; it's not the end-all-be-all of tuning and quite honestly it's more headache to most people than it's worth. If you're in Anchorage go to Backcountry Archery and get Bill to help you out. He's forgotten more about bows than any 5 people on here know.
