In just one season of 3-d. My zebra string streached 1". My suggestion to anyone would be throw the zebra's in the trash and have your pro-shop make you a Brownell string or a winners choice.

I also struggled with Zebras for years on my Mathews. They creeped, the cable serving constantly seperated at the cam, etc.

Winners choice solved everything and i highly recommend them

1" is huge elongation, are we talking ata?

So what happened when the serving separated, did the bow blow up? Arrows started to hit your neighbours target? The serving shouldn't separate, that's a given, but it has happened on a number of my strings, and no harm has occured, the serving has never ended up hanging there at a loose end, and if it did I would wrap it back on with plyobond.

It is great if guys want to spend 85 bucks on a string, but I would prefer that they got the right string first thing. I don't like the idea of people having to buy a new string with the bow, and I am frankly sceptical.

According to Lancaster, the Tiger is 450ish which is designed for zero creep/stretch, and the Zebra is a thicker strand of 8125, which is designed to stretch.

WOW, ANOTHER FLOOD GATE HAS BEEN OPENED KOOL...
MY UNDERSTANDING WAS THAT THE STRING WILL STRETCH,BUT ONLY TO A POINT. ON MY ULTRA LITE IT GOT 1/2' BIGGER. MY THOUGHT WAS LET IT RIDE AROUND IN YOUR TRUNK OVER THE SUMMER THE STRING WILL RELAX TO MAX POINT AND SETTLE. THEN MAKE THE ADJUSTMENTS, NOW THIS MAY BE CRAZY BUT I WILL STAND BY THE ZEBRA STRING/MATTHEWS. NOTHING SEEMS TO HAVE GONE WRONG(AS OF SO FAR),AND I DO CHANGE THE STRING ABOUT EVERY THREE YEARS...AND INCLUDES LOTS OF 3' D SHOOTS OVER THE SUMMER.
NO COMPLAINTS,THANKS
