Whats really interesting is if you stand in front of someone shooting your bow, off to the side and preferably behind a tree or something you will be amazed at how quiet the bow is compared to the arrow noise.

Dave,
I agree with you on this one. I thought my bow was loud until I had someone else shoot it. Also, I've stood down range behind a very large tree and out ofline of fire and listened to the arrow wizzing down range. The arrow is louder.

I find sound and decibels a very tricky subject, I thought my bow was loud untill I shot next to some other archers at the range, the recurve target shooters shot like they held harps and the compound shooters were, I thought, louder than my tomkat.
There was a Hoyt, high range and a guardian. Then I had somebody else shoot my bow and all other compounds were louder than mine.
No sts yet, just a fuse Wb and a fuse stabilizer and the hush kit that came with the bow.
All I have now is a sharp sound when the arrow leaves the string, which will be turned down when I sand the nocks some more........
